Members of the Pulaski County High School Chorus and Advanced Concert Chorus traveled to Patrick Henry High School in Glade Springs to perform in the Virginia Choral Directors Association District Assessment (VCDA) Saturday. In the end, the PCHS students received the highest marks offered.

The VCDA is a group that gives choir students from across the Commonwealth the chance to perform and receive ratings on their performances, as well as feedback on how they can improve. While the choirs do not compete against each other, the goal is to receive the highest rating possible for your performance.

Pulaski County High School is a member of District 7, which includes the counties of Bland, Buchanan, Carroll, Dickenson, Giles, Grayson, Lee, Russell, Scott, Smyth Washington, Wise, and Wythe. Also included are the cities of Bristol, Fries, Galax, and Norton. Several colleges are also included in the group, including Bluefield College, Clinch Valley College, Emory and Henry, Mountain Empire Community College, SWVA Community College, UVA-Wise, Virginia Highlands Community College, and Virginia Intermont College.
