The VHSL Power Ratings are out and the Pulaski County Cougars will not make the playoffs this season after their 31-34 loss to Christiansburg Friday.
The Cougars finish the season with a record of 4-6 and a VHSL rating of 21.00. Halifax County finishes the regular season 5-5 and have a rating of 21.8, earning the Comets the eighth and final place in the Class 4, Region D playoffs.
EC Glass is in first place at 9-1 and 31.20. Louisa County is second at 10-0 and 29.60. Salem is third, despite their loss to Patrick Henry Friday, at 8-2 and 28.10. Orange County finished fourth at 8-2 and 25.60. Amherst County is fifth at 6-4 and 23.50. they will travel to Orange County for round one. Western Albemarle is sixth at 5-5 and 22.50, leaving them on the road against Louisa County. Jefferson Forest is seventh at 4-6 and 22.20. They will travel to Salem. Halifax County will travel to EC Glass for their opening round game.
