Pulaski County High School senior running back Trevor Burton has been recognized as a member of the Class 4, Region D All-Region team. Burton was selected as a second-team running back on the list. No other Pulaski County players were listed on the All-Region team.
Burton finished his senior season with 27 rushing touchdowns, breaking the previous record of 26 that was held by Craig Hodge from the 1996 season. He also finished with two games in which he scored five touchdowns, tying that record that is co-held by Hodge (1996), Kwasi Scott (1998), Frank Cobbs (2000), and Kevin Crouse (2004). Against Hidden Valley, Burton ran for 308 yards on 28 carries, an 11-yard average, to set a new record for most rushing yards in a game. His 1,618 yards in the 2022 season put him in third place for most yards in a regular season behind Frank Cobbs (1,809 in 2000) and Hunter Thomas (1,865 in 2016).
