December SOM

Pulaski County Public Schools and Pulaski County High School are pleased to announce our December Senior of the Month, London Chase Lawrence.  Chase is the son of Randy and Dawn Lawrence of Fairlawn.  Chase’s nominating teacher said “Over the past two years, I have had the privilege of teaching Chase and have seen firsthand the exceptional character, dedication, and leadership he brings to every aspect of his life.”

Chase consistently exemplifies all five expectations of Cougar PRIDE. He is a natural leader, excelling not only as an athlete in football, basketball, and baseball but also as a guide and mentor in FCA. His commitment to these activities reflects his strong drive for success and his determination to positively influence those around him.

A recent example of his leadership occurred in the lunch line when a student behind Chase was speaking negatively about another student. Without hesitation, Chase stepped in, telling the student to stop and calm down. His ability to stand up for others and maintain a positive attitude is just one of the many ways he leads by example. Chase also consistently helps with cleanup in the commons, showing that his commitment to service extends beyond the classroom and field.

What truly sets Chase apart is his kindness and unwavering support for his classmates and teachers. He regularly goes out of his way to offer assistance and encouragement, embodying loyalty and respect in every interaction. His politeness and positive attitude make him a pleasure to have in the classroom.

Outside of academics and athletics, Chase takes time to engage with the preschoolers at PCHS, who adore him. He serves as a role model for these young students, demonstrating excellent character and the value of being a compassionate, supportive individual.

In his free time, Chase enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as playing golf. While he has not yet decided on a college, he plans to pursue a degree in physical therapy after graduation.
