Pulaski County High School is proud to recognize their selections for 2022 Employee of the Year and Teacher of the Year.
The 2022 Pulaski County High School Employee of the Year is Mrs. Amber Lockhart. Mrs. Lockhart was nominated as PCHS Employee of the Year for her countless contributions to the PCHS community. Mrs. Lockhart serves the students of Pulaski County High School as a school nurse. Mrs. Lockhart was instrumental in the development of many of our district-wide COVID plans and served on numerous committees to help protect our schools.
While Mrs. Lockhart is known for her willingness and ability to provide medical assistance to our students, she is also known as a creative contributor to many PCHS activities and programs. Mrs. Lockhart thrives when creativity is needed and is always willing to step in to think outside of the box. Mrs. Lockhart, alongside her colleague Mrs. Paulson, made and installed many cougar paws throughout the building that supported our school spirit. Mrs. Lockhart, as accompanied by Mrs. Koelling, also developed a plan to provide each student with a customized t shirt at our 2021 Beachside Formal. Mrs. Lockhart has also been instrumental in the development of programs to support the parents and guardians of our students and their knowledge of vaping dangers.
PCHS is truly grateful for the contributions Mrs. Lockhart makes each day and we’re proud to celebrate her as our Employee of the Year!
For her efforts, Mrs. Lockhart was also named as the Pulaski County Public Schools Employee of the Year.
The 2022 Pulaski County High School Teacher of the Year is Mr. John Jewell. Mr. Jewell has been nominated as the PCHS Teacher of the Year, and we are proud of all he contributes to PCHS daily. Mr. Jewell serves as the math department chair, and often serves as an administrative substitute when needed. Mr. Jewell gladly accepts any additional tasks or responsibility with grace and evident desire to do well. Mr. Jewell currently serves at PCMS as the upcoming Academic Coach after teaching each day at PCHS. He works tirelessly to make sure his students are successful and does so with the utmost enthusiasm.
PCHS is truly grateful for all Mr. Jewell does with enthusiasm and pride in his school. We are honored to celebrate him as our Teacher of the Year.
For his efforts, Mr. Jewell was also selected as the 2022 Pulaski County Public Schools Teacher of the Year for the secondary school level.
